At Vital Systems we have been installing small surface mounted devices for many decades. We employ sophisticated robotic technology that is extremely accurate. This allows us to populate large and very small components and everything in between with the precision that is the foundations of our quality.
In the picture 0402 Resistor is in the middle of the three components placed on the finger tip. Passive components as small as 0402 are standard devices that we populate by the millions every year. In early 2000 Vital Systems assembled 750,000 PCB assemblies measuring half inch square for Sanmina Corporation. On these PCB assemblies these 0402 components. Each PCB assembly was electrically tested and Vital Systems delivered a zero defect run.
In the picture 0201 Capacitor is at the bottom of the three components on the finger tip. Passive components as small as 0201 are standard small devices we populate by the millions each year. In early 2000 Vital Systems populated 0201 devices on PCB assemblies measuring half inch by quarter inch. We assembled these PCB assemblies by the hundreds of thousands for Medtronic company’s GERD program.
In the picture 01005 capacitor is the top component on the finger tip. Today Vital Systems offers capability of populating one of the smallest passive devices in the world, the 01005. These parts measure 10 thousands of an inch by 5 thousands of an inch. In real life these parts are 1 hair width by 2 hair widths and smaller than a period on a this page.
