Vital Systems started assembling Surface Mounted Technology Devices manually in 1986. This was after we received our U.S. Navy certification to meet weapons specification WS6536. For several years after that we assembled PCB assemblies with surface mount technology SMT for use on under water submersible for deep ocean exploration by NOAA. For another deep sea mission Vital Systems built the electronics for a grappler arm attached to Alvin, a submarine that descended to the RMS Titanic after it was discovered in 1985.
Then in 1994 Vital Systems became the first company in Reno to start employing automation for populating surface mounted technology on PCB assemblies. Today we employ world finest in surface mounted robotic technology with extreme precision capabilities to populate todays surface mounted technology SMT on PCB assemblies.
